Situated in a charming SE Portland home, this renovation project successfully met a range of challenges to transform the space. Goals included creating a functional kitchen, preserving the home’s historic character, relocating laundry facilities, and optimizing space utilization. The kitchen, with its classic and contemporary blend, features elegant marble elements and thoughtful conveniences. The powder bath and dining room received period-appropriate details, connecting the design with the home’s heritage. Replicating historical features and introducing a cozy den and office space improved functionality and retained the home’s historic essence. Despite unique challenges, the project seamlessly merged past charm with modern practicality.
