The Metke Design-Build Process

Design-Build Portland – Lake Oswego

We have a streamlined process that allows us to approach design and construction together. We design, implement, and oversee projects that are customized to the client’s vision, needs and dreams. The first step is to identify our client project goals, constraints and opportunities. Our design team collaborates with the construction team from the onset ensuring what we design can be built both creatively & fiscally. This Team approach allows a single point of accountability.

This in house partnership of Design and Construction improves communication, reduces errors and results in a tighter project timeline.

1

Initial Consultation

We meet you at your site to understand your vision and goals. Our 32 years of experience gives us the unique ability to discuss ideas objectives and "ballpark" investment of design and construction. If it is a mutually good fit, we move to design process.

2

Preliminary Project Design

During this phase we will create "as built" drawings, preform jurisdictional research and create preliminary design plans. We can also provide 3D drawings if desired. In addition, we create material suggestions to establish a design direction. After the Design presentation and incorporating the client's feedback on direction, we create a preliminary construction budget.
